Mutton Bustin’ is back at the 2026 Kuna Stampede Rodeo, and entries are now open for young riders who are ready to hold on tight and make a rodeo memory.
The Kuna Stampede Rodeo will take place September 3, 4 and 5, 2026, at the Crooked 8 Event Center in Kuna, Idaho. Mutton Bustin’ is one of the most popular family-friendly events of the rodeo, giving young kids the chance to step into the arena and experience the excitement of rodeo in a fun and safe way.
Who Can Enter Mutton Bustin’?
Mutton Bustin’ entries are open to children who meet the following requirements:
Ages 4–7 years old
55 pounds and under
Able to wear required protective gear
Available to participate during the 2026 Kuna Stampede Rodeo
All Mutton Bustin’ riders must wear protective gear. Families should be prepared for their child to wear the required safety equipment before participating.

The deadline to enter Mutton Bustin’ for the 2026 Kuna Stampede Rodeo is:

Families are encouraged to submit entries early. Mutton Bustin’ spots are limited, and riders will be selected by draw.
Entry Fee
The Mutton Bustin’ entry fee is $25 for selected riders.
The entry fee is non-refundable once a rider has been selected.
How Riders Are Selected
Submitting an entry does not guarantee a riding spot. Riders will be selected by draw after entries close.
Families of selected riders will be contacted with additional details, including payment instructions, participation information and any final requirements before rodeo week.
